IN PERSON CLASS AT A LITTLE KNITTY

Learn how to make a texture rich, Dappled Light Beanie using a mixture of post stitches, puff stitches, and open work. You’ll learn how to crochet a hat from the top-down, and how to work in the round. We will practice on some scrap yarn and get started on the beanie in the class. 

There will be a lunch break around noon, you are welcome to bring your own lunch, or can purchase a sandwich (we will do a group order from Jimmy Johns).

Skill level - Intermediate

Crocheters should already know:

• How to make the following stitches: CH, DC, HDC, and SLST.

• How to weave in yarn ends.

Required materials (available for purchase in store)

• 315 yards (288 m) of sock weight yarn

• US Size D/3: 3.25 mm crochet hook
  or, if you tend to crochet tightly, a US Size E/4: 3.5 mm crochet hook 

• Tapestry Needle

• Scissors

• Tape Measure for measuring gauge 

• (2) stitch markers

Make a simple potholder with Jeananne! You will learn how to work in continuous rounds, how to seam your work using a whip stitch, and how to work on both sides of your foundation chain.

You can make a bunch for yourself and for holiday gifts!

IN PERSON CLASS AT GREEN TREES CROCHET.

This class will have you hooked (pun intended)! You will learn how to do a foundation chain, basic crochet stitches (single crochet, double crochet, and half double crochet), how to turn your work for working in rows, how to seam your work, weave in your yarn ends, and read a pattern. As we learn, we will be creating a beanie! You can go home with the skills to make many more beanies, cowls, and even rectangular shawls!
