Together, they gathered pinecones for kindling. She felt at home under the pine trees, her winter coat giving her a warm hug. Ferns and colorful mushrooms caught her attention as she meandered along a deer’s path. She took a deep breath in, and her favorite woodsy scent filled her with memories of sledding, bonfires, and smores.
