As the sun sets into tomorrow, she strolls along a winding path lost in memories from her day. Like many other Thursdays before it, today had been an unremarkable Thursday until she heard the most beautiful laughter echo into the coffee shop. Behind the laugh was a striking human, whose eyes sparkled under the cheesy twinkle lights the manager insisted on installing after watching a romcom – he always wanted a cute meet to happen between his customers; he was such a romantic. As she took her coffee order, she couldn’t help but notice the book she was reading - it was her favorite. She struck up a conversation, too eagerly she had feared. They continued talking long after the coffee had been made and sipped by the customer’s vivid pink lips. It felt marvelous to connect with someone intellectually! A cool night’s breeze interrupted her thoughts like the manager had their conversation. Quickly, she wrapped herself up in a summer shawl, and delighted in knowing the woman would return to the coffee shop tomorrow.
