Diamond Guillotine Beanie: The Crowned Collection
Diamond Guillotine Beanie: The Crowned Collection
Designed by Jeananne Atthowe
Marie Antoinette was admired by many. In fact, Mad King Ludwig ate with a portrait of her in his dining hall. Such praise seldom lasts forever when you’re royalty. When she became more and more known for her moral laxness and frivolous nature, Marie’s admirers grew fewer. Marie was already surrounded by scandal when she became an unwitting pawn in the Affair of the Diamond Necklace - a disgrace from which Marie could not recover. It is even argued that this was the event that led to her eventual beheading.
